Samaras Structural Engineers are Australia’s premier light to heavy steel fabrication and Construction Company servicing the mining, defence, commercial and civil construction sectors.
The company, which is based in Adelaide, uses state of the art technology, plant, fabrication and construction methods and has an enviable reputation within the South Australian and National Steel Construction Industry.
To enhance its expanding operations and to capitalise on the growing resources sector the company wishes to appoint a person to spearhead its work procurement and tendering initiatives with particular emphasis on the mining, defence and resources sectors
Reporting to the Managing Director your responsibilities will include:
Identifying business opportunities
Preparing and presenting registrations of interest and proposals to clients.
Leading a team of estimators and other support staff, including some direct involvement, in the preparation of estimates and tenders
Liaising and follow through with clients and others to facilitate the successful outcome of tenders and negotiated work
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
A thorough understanding of structural steel fabrication and construction associated with civil, mining and commercial construction.
Experience in preparing proposals, estimates and tenders for construction projects.
Outstanding written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
