Contract Manager
Commercial Construction
Our Client, a progressive construction company, has been established for over 50 years and has offices in South Australia and the Northern Territory. The company undertakes a diverse range of projects for the commercial, industrial, defence and tourist related construction sectors. Its portfolio includes multi million landmark projects either negotiated on a design & construct basis or tenders won on the open market.
Based in Darwin and reporting to the Commercial Manager you will be responsible with the help of a team of subordinates for the contract administration and quality of the Head Contract and Trade Contracts and Management Reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
Commercial control and direction of the head contract and sub contract packages.
Maximisation of value recovery, cost control and cash management
Responsible for all contract issues including letting, variations, progress claims and contract correspondence.
Budget Management and Reporting
Negotiation with clients, contractors, legal advisors, statutory authorities and company management
To be successful in this role you need to have a thorough knowledge and experience of contractual issues, processes and legislation as it applies to the construction industry. Most likely you would have a background in either contract administration at a senior level, project manager or similar roles which included responsibilities for contract administration. Tertiary studies in building disciplines would be highly regarded.
The remuneration package including vehicle is negotiable to around the mid $100’sK. Relocation assistance is provided if required.
