Building Graduate/Junior Contract Administrator

Our client, a progressive commercial construction company, has been established for over 30 years and has offices nationally and in South Australia. The company undertakes a diverse range of projects for the commercial, industrial and design sectors with a large proportion of their work being refurbishment and fit outs. The company initiates a forward thinking and progressive approach to its staff and resources and promotes long tenure and job satisfaction to all staffing levels.
The company is looking for a new graduate with a degree in the building disciplines that is confident and articulate with their knowledge and procedures in this field. Based in the Adelaide CBD, you will be responsible for assisting with contact administration and Quality of Head Contract and Trade Contracts, including appropriate reporting under the guidance of senior management. You will assist with OH&S guidelines and implementation, tendering and trade package preparation and on site administration activities.
Duties include, assisting with the letting of sub contracts, progress payment claims, variation orders, monitoring costs against budget and liaising with sub contractors, suppliers and clients, participate in risk assessments and site safety inspections, administrate all incident reports and investigate as per legislation requirements and assist senior managers in general.
This role would suit Graduates in Building Disciplines who have a passion to make their mark in this ever growing industry, the ability to think systematically, can remain calm under pressure and are results oriented, however, no actual experience in the industry is required, but will be looked upon favourably.
The role will be well remunerated with a base salary plus superannuation.
