Civil Projects Officer
Local Government Infrastructure
We are pleased to recruit for this well known council servicing a city renowned for it’s cultural diversity, vibrant cosmopolitan atmosphere, tree lined streets, beautiful parks and gardens and unique heritage architecture. It has an ambitious program of ongoing new construction and refurbishments in addition to its regular planned maintenance programs.
Based in the council’s modernised premises and located in one of Adelaide’s popular dining and shopping precincts the council now requires a Civil Projects Officer.
Under the direction of the Senior Projects Engineer your role will be to:
Manage civil infrastructure projects, including road, footpath and drainage reconstruction works.
Provide technical advice and supervision for contracts for the development, construction and maintenance of the Council’s infrastructure assets.
Provide technical advice regarding land divisions and development applications
You will need to be computer literate, have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline; Knowledge of costing, interpreting legislation and codes of practice, contractual knowledge and be familiar with public works construction as well as having good communication and negotiation skills
